We made a rather naughty stop at Praia de Marinha – this is a beautiful stretch of the coast with some impressive cliffs that have been sculpted by the sea. On return to the van we spotted the no motorhomes signs – oops!
Beating a hasty retreat, we made our way along the coast to Alvor, another of Portugal’s pretty fishing villages. They have installed wooden walkways around the beach, estuary and salt marshes, so you get to see a large variety of wildlife.
