Beach front at Garrucha

Garrucha parking stop

We got lucky with a parking spot right on the beach front at Garrucha. At the other end of town the parking places faced onto the stream of lorries (day & night) arriving with loads for the container ships.
Had a good few days cycling, running and walking along the coast. Although it is out of season now, so quieter, a couple of beach front cafes are still open, and we met a local gentleman and heard about his life in France, before he returned back to Garrucha, his childhood home.
The town is touristy, but doesn’t have all the high rise blocks that seem to have overwhelmed towns further up the coast.
We met a fab English couple who are also travelling south, Paul & Wendy. They introduced us to the importance of a swimming noodle in our motorhome.
