After dragging ourselves away from Port Lligat, we visited the Monastery de Sant Pere de Rodes – a huge monastery at its greatest in the 11 & 12 century, but falling into ruin by the 1700’s. Today it’s a national monument, being restored and protected from the elements.
We could have spent the night in one of the car parks, but found some window glass on the ground, which hadn’t been there the day before when Dave cycled up. It looked like the comments from Park4Night that there had been previous break ins was still relevant.
And with a weather forecast of rain, we decided to head down the mountain and on to Peralada for our overnight stop.
