Tourist day

Pont du Gard

Tourist day – visited Pont du Gard.
It’s one of the best preserved Roman aqueducts, and was part of a channel taking water from the natural springs at Uzès to Nîmes.
It’s a pretty impressive feat of engineering built in the first century AD. There’s a museum at the site too which has a mini reconstruction showing all the tunnels and bridges that would have carried the water on its 50km route between the two towns.
At our campsite we had a flying meet up with our van twin! Betty is owned by Anne & Thorsten, it was great to see another L4H3 van conversion – we’re a bit scarce out there. Always good to have a look at how other vans are laid out, and to meet new friends on the road 🚐
