Le Hourdel

Seals

On the way South we made a stop at an Aire in Le Hourdel.
You can go seal watching here – they have around 700 visiting common and grey seals. Our first walk along the beach was at the wrong time – high tide and there were no seals in evidence. So we popped back along to the beach at 8.30pm, low tide, and there they were! Just chilling out on the sand bars and raising a flipper to surely say hi 👋
Again in the morning we went to the beach to see them.
Sadly we saw two people and their dog, intent on getting a close up picture of the seals and their pups – they strode towards them on the sand bar and scared the entire group into the water – they should be ashamed of themselves
