In a couple of areas in the van we’ve added a raised floor – living area and toilet. This has helped us to house the boiler hot air ducting, and also hides some of the electric cable that didn’t go straight behind the walls and the welded legs of the double passenger seat.
We’ve put down 12cm high floor joists (larger than we’d have liked, but quick solution to get it done) and then 12mm ply on top. Then covered the ply with our left over altro comfort flooring.
To finish off the edges we found some flexible stair nosing that we stuck/screwed around the curve of the floor 🚙
