Interior design πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ¨

We’ve started to get to the stage where the van can have final finishes added before other bits go in on top. Our first finish is the flooring.
We’ve picked a really hard wearing flooring that’s not too light in colour, so any muck that I’m sure we’ll traipse in should not stand out straight away.
We’ve gone for a natural wood effect and the flooring has a felt type backing so that it deadens sound – we won’t be like a herd of elephants in the van 🐘
We measured up the floor area to get the right length and cut it down. Then carried the whole length in and cut around the edges with the flooring in place so that it fitted snugly into all the little nooks and crannies. We got through quite a few hooked blades on the Stanley knife – this flooring is tough stuff!
We stuck it all down with some Trim Fix – so it’s not coming out now.
New saying to accompany the build: “Part of the ship, part of the crew”
We’ve tidied up the edges of the floor at the doors with some stair nosing so we don’t trip on it on the way in and out of the van. πŸ˜‚ at the image of Emma tip toeing out of the van in socks so as not to damage the ultra hardwearing floor
