We were driving by Futuroscope, and with an offer of half price tickets and some good reviews we decided to stop by. It’s a theme park with various rides including les lapins cretins (we know them in the UK as the rabid rabbits). There were a lot of sit in rides that then played a large screen video in front of you as it threw you around. There was a strange ride that advertised the beauty of the area around the Vienne by throwing us around in our seats and spraying us with water as we pretended to follow a man who was late for his wedding helped by a tree who sneezed on us a lot (the water spray) – we believe this ride may have lost something in translation 😅 We agreed that one of the best rides was doing a ‘ride along’ with Sebastian Loeb, a rally driver. There was also an impressive show in the evening using lights projected onto water and bursts of fire as we followed la clé des songes (the key to dreams). It’s definitely not a UK theme park, and there’s nothing very futuristic about it, but it was a fun day out.
