Sherry anyone?

Jerez - Flamenco

After feeling like we had a bit of down time from moving around over the Christmas break, it was time to head on.
Heading north our first stop was Jerez de la Frontera.
Leaving the van at an aire outside of town – (where we were greeted with a glass of sherry each 🍷) we caught the bus into the centre. We had lunch in a tapas & sherry bar, and got to see their afternoon flamenco display.
It was tempting to visit the Tio Pepe bodega to try and get a glimpse of the sherry mouse – they apparently put out a little ladder that gives the mouse access to the sherry, but we were told the mice only come out at night, so as we’d already had our rations of sherry for the day we gave it a miss, and just enjoyed touring the streets of Jerez as we walked back to our overnight.
