Ronda

Ronda New Bridge from below city

Ronda was our next stop, and we parked up at an aire just out of town.
It’s a town perched on the top of a big lump of rock, so has great views of the surrounding region, and is accessed by various bridges.
The famous bridge, that shows up in most pictures when you search for Ronda is the new bridge, and we walked there on our first day.
On another day to visit the town we started at the Arab baths – this was an excellent tourist attraction. In the 1340’s the visitors to the town would enter and arrive at the baths, ready to cleanse themselves after their journey and before entry to the town. They had a really good animation to show you exactly how the baths were used and how the baths fitted into the town around it.
After a quick sandwich in the rose gardens
We went for a circular walk out of the back of Ronda, to see it from the bottom of the cliff.
Ronda is full of charm, with lots to see and do.
