Some tricky turns and small roads took us into Port Lligat, a little cove that was home to Salvidor Dali.
Climbing over the hill you can wander down into Cadaques – the prettiest little town on the sea front with clear water, cute shops and tapas restaurants.
If you head out in the morning and early evening you get to see the starling murmurations as they flock around the olive groves.
