We caught the bus into Nîmes for the day.
First stop was the arena or amphitheatre, built in around 100AD.
You get a talking guide to take you around the site to tell you the history of the arena and about the types of gladiators and events that would have been held there, it’s still used as an event venue today.
We had a wander round the centre of the city, before visiting the Jardins de la Fontaine.
