From Chamonix we headed a bit further down the valley to St Gervais les Bains.
The camping car aire is shared with a car park just below the ice rink. Went for a swim in the public pool, where you swim next to a viewing window wall over the surrounding mountains. On the way back we saw that the lights were on at the ice rink, and people were heading in. We joined the crowd and ended up catching a local ice hockey match – Mont Blanc versus Chambery. There was loud music, players smashing into each other at high speed and the Mont Blanc mascot, a yeti, picked the crowds winning puck at half time = good night out.
Mont Blanc won 6-1.
