That’s our van – now we’ve got power 🌞😁 We went to Onboard Energy in Nuneaton – they specialise in electric installs for boats, motorhomes, remote homes… We’d like to be able to be off-grid as much as possible, relying on our solar panels, so we don’t have to rely on finding an electrical hook up supply each time we stop.
Dave spent a lot of time researching and then planning with Onboard Energy what we would need for our energy set up.
Once we knew what we were going to have installed, we needed somewhere to install it. Again our handy wheel arch boxing has created a home for our batteries. We also added some extra ply panelling onto a wall, so that it was able to take the extra load.
Installed: batteries x 2, 12v & 240v fuse boxes, invertor, solar charge control, battery to battery charger, battery monitor.
All connected up with more cabling 🙄
We got lucky on install day with bright sunshine, which is even more exciting when you see the sun charging your batteries from the solar panels 🌞
